Synopsis
In his hilarious new special, Zakir recounts stories of his childhood friendships with boys, adult relationships with girls, and the clashes that ensue between them on one fateful Goa trip. As he explains, there are times when you have to choose between the right thing to do and the fun thing to do. In Mannpasand, Zakir firmly chooses fun.

I obv like Tathastu infinitely more than this one but there’s something so cool about jokes that u and your parents BOTH can laugh at
“Lag raha tha 60 saal ka Shin Chan ghar mein chhod diya hai”
and my mom howled from the other room ok 😭😭😭

It's just unbelievable how this guy hits home so hard every time.
Zakir stands apart among comedians not just for what he says but for how he delivers his jokes, making them both personal and universally relatable. His knack lies not only in the content but in his unique style, making his humor distinct and unmatched.
The variety in comedic styles has triggered a reevaluation of what truly constitutes a comedy special on streaming platforms. The focus shouldn't solely be on jokes but on genuine entertainment that isn't forcibly fed to the audience or reliant on prompting laughter. Khan seems to grasp this essence of comedy as a performing art. Always a pleasure to listen to him.

i love this man so much?
jab aap apni mannpasand chizen chhor kar vo karte ho jo karna sahi hai, tab aap jaan lo ki aap bade ho chuke ho aur aapka bachpan mar chuka hai.

Ek hota hai mann pasand aur ek hota hai sahi. Jab aap mann pasand chodthe jao or sahi kare jao, toh samaj jao ki bade ho chuke aur bachpan mar gaya hai tumhara.
It's definitely not as intense as 'Thathastu,' but Zakir is one of the best at his craft, and I loved how he narrated the entire special. I genuinely feel 'Haq Se Single,' 'Kaksha Gyarvi,' and 'Mannpasand' can be a great trilogy of specials to binge-watch. Just like all his specials, he has an incredible callback as an ending joke. If I had to complain about something, I felt the penultimate jokes on the Bolero and the entire restaurant bit could have been replaced because Zakir is definitely capable of pulling off more.

After Tathastu, I expect Zakir to be done with his boys/girls stereotypical set. Even if he is giving disclaimers at the beginning.
