They were bought out a few years back by the Picsart owners I think.

I've never used imgur's editing option. I've always just done it on my phone or PC first.

You've got the Templates section loaded on the left. The pictures you're seeing are the default memegen options.
But yeah, something's up. Getting a few errors and can't crop.

Surprised to hear it's awful. I don't use Imgur for anything but Picsart as a phone app is surprisingly powerful when it comes to editing images and making memes etc.

The old one often bugged out on me with the the image not even loading but this new one sure is confusing when it comes to actually editing an image beyond adding a meme template

Just go to your gallery - https://your_name.imgur.com/all
Select the image, and hit the Pencil button. An Edit button will pop up after.
If you're not seeing that, then I think Imgur is rolling changes and I haven't gotten it yet.

What's everybody's preferred imgur alternative? It's long since been exactly what it was made to replace (Photobucket, etc)... Have never found one that instilled much confidence
